The database is a true "client/server" design and is 100% open. It has been designed with a high degree of discipline which allows the end user to effectively access the data in the database through third-party programs using ODBC tools and standards.

The client/server approach, along with SQL database structure, offers the retailer a system and database which is highly scalable, secure, recoverable and very fast.
